Installing StevensCreek PalmPrint

 

Method 1: Use CD Installer

1.    Start the CD installer program and follow the on-screen instructions.

2.    When the installer asks you to select a font, PocketJet 3/3Plus do NOT require a font. However, PocketJet 200 does require a font. Choose the recommended option, or otherwise choose your preferred option.

3.    HotSync with your Palm

 

Method 2: Run Setup Program for Windows OS

1.    From the “Start” menu, choose “Run”.

2.    Choose “Browse”, and find <CD Drive>:\<Printer Model>\PalmOS\StevensCreek PalmPrint\Install.exe

3.    Choose OK and follow the on-screen instructions.

4.    When the installer asks you to select a font, PocketJet 3/3Plus do NOT require a font. However, PocketJet 200 does require a font. Choose the recommended option, or otherwise choose your preferred option.

5.    HotSync with your Palm

 

Method 3: Manually Install

1.    Run the Palm Install Tool (or choose Install Tool from Palm Desktop)

2.    Choose “Add”

3.    Browse to find “<CD Drive>:\<Printer Model>\PalmOS\StevensCreek PalmPrint”, and select all available PRC and PDB files. There is an “optional” directory with other add-ons to PalmPrint. Select all of these that you desire.

4.    For PocketJet 200 only, you will need to select a set of font PDB files. There are 4 sets of PDB files available, depending on the quality of output you desire as a trade off with space required on your Palm. Each set consists of 3 PDB files for Courier, Times, and Helvetica fonts. We recommend using the “hires plain” fonts. Read the StevensCreek manual for more information.

5.    HotSync with your Palm

 

Method 4: If you downloaded from the Pentax website

1.    Extract the files from the ZIP file downloaded from the website

2.    Follow instructions above either Method 2 or Method 3
