How Much More Printing?
BATTERY COLOR
Page Yield \ Charge Time
Yellow
PJII/200
PJII/200 Ni-Cd Battery
The previously sold yellow colored Ni-Cd battery prints 30-35 pages, taking less than 70 minutes to fully charge. NOTE: This battery is no longer sold.
Green
PJII/200

PJ II/200 Ni-MH Battery

The new green colored Ni-MH battery can be single charged for approximately 60 pages, or double charged for approximately 100 pages of printing.

  • A single charge, taking less then 70 minutes, yields approximately 60 pages! You get twice the printing of the previously sold Ni-Cd battery in the same amount of charging time.
  • A double charge, charging to 100% capacity, takes less than 130 minutes and yields approximately 100 pages! That is up to 3 times the printing compared to the previously sold Ni-Cd battery.
Black
PJ3/3Plus
PJ 3/3Plus Ni-MH Battery

The new black colored Ni-MH battery can be single charged for approximately 60 pages, or double charged for approximately 100 pages of printing. Same as green above, but for the new PJ3/3Plus models only because the connector is different and this battery is designed specifically for the PocketJet 3 series.
NOTICE

The PJII/200 battery and AC adapter is not cross compatible with the PJ3/3Plus and vice-versa.
Please verify you are ordering the right battery (or adapter) for your printer model.

The specs stated are the maximum numbers of pages the PocketJet can print on a new battery. All of the following will lessen this number:

  • Battery Age
  • Coverage (amount of print data on a page): The more print data, the more thermal transfer is being used. In turn, there is more energy drain on the battery.
  • Density Setting (Set via driver "Properties"): Higher density settings (maximum 10) use more energy. Normal setting is 7.
  • Low Temperatures: When the battery is subjected to environmental temperatures that are below room temperature, the printer will have a reduced page yield.
  • Be sure that you understand the difference between "refreshing" the battery and "recharging." These two charging features are explained in the user's guide.

FAQ: What if I run out of battery charge when I'm on the road?
If you print a lot, you can purchase extra batteries, or power your PocketJet and charge your battery in your vehicle with an optional cigarette or fuse box car adapter that is sold separately. It is also a good idea to remember to take the PocketJet AC adapter/charger with you in your suitcase and fully charge your battery in your hotel room at night.
